Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Most parts ship directly from distributor warehouses, so please read this before you order.
Returns within 30 days
You can return most items within 30 days of delivery. Items must be new, uninstalled and unused, in the original undamaged packaging with all hardware and paperwork.
How to request a return
Email support@rigbuilder.com with your order number. We'll send a Return Authorization (RA) number and the return address. Returns sent without an RA number can't be accepted, because parts go back to different warehouses.
Restocking fee
Change-of-mind returns have a 15% restocking fee. There's no fee if we made a mistake (wrong item, or our fitment info listed your Jeep and the part doesn't fit) or if the item arrived damaged or defective.
Return shipping
You pay return shipping on change-of-mind returns; we pay (prepaid label) for our mistakes and damaged or defective items. Large or freight items (bumpers, tire-and-wheel packages, anything shipped by truck) must be pre-approved, and you pay the actual freight both ways plus a 20% restocking fee.
Damaged, defective or incorrect orders
Inspect deliveries right away (for freight, note damage on the receipt before signing). Email us within 5 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the box, label and damage. We'll file the carrier claim and send a replacement or a full refund.
Wrong fitment
Test-fit before you paint, cut or drill. If our product page listed your exact Jeep and the part doesn't fit, contact us before installing. We'll take it back with no restocking fee and pay return shipping.
Non-returnable items
- Special-order, made-to-order or custom items (including custom paint or powder coat), marked "Special order"
- Anything installed, mounted, modified, painted, cut or drilled
- Electrical and electronic items (lights, wiring, tuners, programmers) once opened or installed
- Clearance, open-box or "Final sale" items
- Items more than 30 days after delivery
Defects are still covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Refunds
After the warehouse receives and inspects your return, we refund the original payment method within 5 business days. Your bank may take 5–10 more business days. Original shipping isn't refunded unless the return is due to our error or damage.
Cancelling an order
You can cancel free any time before your order ships. Once it ships, return it under this policy instead. Special-order items can't be cancelled once the manufacturer or distributor confirms the order.
Warranty
Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty, and we'll help you file a claim. Rig Builder doesn't sell extended warranties.
